I haven’t seriously blogged for a very long time. Back in the day I was all over it and running the blogging ring for women bloggers in the UK. Remember them? Blog rings? I suddenly feel very old.
The desire to share our lives now seems fully sated by the many and various social networking platforms available to us and blogs have faded away for the most part, except maybe as an aide to self-promotion and marketing. Then I saw Effy’s challenge to blog along with her for September and I couldn’t resist. I failed at the first hurdle by not posting anything on day one, so it can only get better from here.
I’m hoping that I can find the time which is so ridiculous, I’m retired! I have a lot of projects on at the moment though, including writing a non-fiction book about non-romantic dysfunctional relationships which is pretty hard going. I’ve just cracked 40,000 words so beginning to feel that the end is at least waving distance away.
Today has been delightful. Saturday ritual of going to lunch with my husband, stepson and 4 year old granddaughter. Sewing name tabs into her brand new school uniform and watching the photo session in the garden ‘studio’. I think it goes something like…”you can only take photos of me if I can take photos of you!”
a face finished for 29 Faces (Princess Diana themed week)
and rather out of my comfort zone, this abstract piece for the Shift Art (shiftart.com) Photoshop Challenge
Night of the Lizard
Gorgeous start. <3
Thanks Effy!
